 Mighty Sam McClain
Sam McClain was born on the northern edge of the Bible Belt in Monroe, Louisiana in 1943. As a five year old, he began singing in his mother’s Gospel Church. It was then that he realized singing was his mission. He left home when he was thirteen to escape an abusive stepfather and followed local R&B guitarist, "Little Melvin" Underwood through the Chitlin Circuit, first as his valet and then as lead vocalist himself. While he was singing in Florida he was introduced to Producer/ DJ, "Papa Don" Schroeder. In 1966, Sam recorded Patsy Cline’s "Sweet Dreams" – his first real success. By the early 1990’s Sam networked his way to New England by way of his association with the "Hubert Sumlin Blues Party" project. After his move to New Hampshire the momentum continued to build with "Sledgehammer Soul and Down Home Blues". When Sam started to take back his career in 1996 and turned to managing himself, he founded McClain Management. His publishing company, Emily’s Son Publishing, has been licensed since 1993. McClain formed McClain Productions after successfully co-producing his CD’s with Joe Harley. He also has created his own label, Mighty Music.
"My favorite place to be in New Hampshire is the beach in winter when it is empty & quiet. Next, the farmland at CedarHouse Sound and Mastering where I have recorded my last five projects. The owner, Gerry Putnam, is the best! I love New Hampshire's mountains and the Lamprey River which you can find it all over Southern NH, but one of my favorite spots is in Newmarket, NH, in the heart of the town."

 Lauren Collins
Lauren Collins never thought she'd settle down in New Hampshire, but that's exactly what happened! Raised in Connecticut, she lived and worked for several years in Western Mass, then the Boston area, before NECN made her the New Hampshire bureau reporter. She's won several regional and national broadcasting awards and hopes to stick around the Granite State for many more primary seasons. Lauren and her family live in Bedford.
"As the New Hampshire reporter for NECN, I get to experience this whole state on a daily basis. If I had to pick, though, I'd say you can't go wrong in the Monadnock region -- pack a lunch and hike up Mt. Monadnock for a picnic with an unparalleled view. Then foot it around the great shops and galleries in Peterborough and finish it off with a frappe at the Peterborough Diner. If you're lucky enough, get one shake with two straws to share with your sweetie. It's a day with some of the best - outdoors, cultural, and classic - that NH has to offer."

 Crooked Lane Cast
The script for “Crooked Lane” was originally developed 3 years ago as a feature to be shot in New Hampshire, but the time was never right. Bailey had just finished producing a film in London and his next feature has begun with Dennis Quaid and Brett Cullen to be shot early next year in New Mexico. Therefore, he had a free 6 months to shoot. He rewrote the script for a short film, assembled the crew, and got the funding and saida"action". It worked. "Crooked Lane" is a paranormal thriller set in New Hampshire and stars actors Ann Cusack ("A League of Their Own") and Brett Cullen ("Lost") and local talent from the New England area.
"I fell in love with New Hampshire in 2003 when I moved here from Paris France. Now, granted I still live in Paris 6 months per year, but Portsmouth has many wonderful young film makers and I have been working with them on their films for a few years and have always wanted to make a film here (my film). I love Portsmouth and New Hampshire."
